Lions conduct vision screening sessions at local schools and at public events using our PlusOptix automatic screening machines. We have also provided Missoula Co. Public Schools with two PlusOptix machines to provide screenings to students.
In addition to screenings, we provide assistance to those in need of glasses or eye exams. These are funded through our annual Christmas Tree Sale and through community support.
In 2023, Missoula Lions Club has spent$7,106.00 on Eye Exams and Glasses, $1,600.00 on hearing aides and $2,178.00 on Plus Optix Machines for our local community!!
We charter scout troops and support them financially. Programs like the scouts help youth develop skills that they will find useful in their lives as they grow. Part of our mission is to promote community development.
